Volkswagen is reducing staffing at its electric plant in Zwickau, Germany, and adjusting shift work due to market conditions. The carmaker had planned to offer permanent employment to 540 staff but is now unable to do so for 269 of them. Despite this, Volkswagen remains committed to electric mobility. The plant currently employs around 10,700 staff and produces six electric vehicle models.
