Tata Steel faces the unflattering tag of being the biggest polluter in the Netherlands. The company’s Dutch chief Theo Henrar had pledged last year that he would spend hundreds of millions of euros to cut factory emissions - on condition the government invested a similar amount. The development comes at a time when a growing number of politicians and voters support the imposition of carbon tax on polluting companies.
