Interpreting Motion DISTANCE TIME and SPEED TIME GRAPHS Activity
Descrição
Are you students having trouble interpreting the slope on distance-time or speed-time graphs? They learn the horizontal, diagonal or curved motion line
Are you students having trouble interpreting the slope on distance-time or speed-time graphs? They learn the horizontal, diagonal or curved motion lines for constant motion, acceleration or rest. They can also calculate average speed with these no prep practice worksheets. The NGSS HS-PS2-1 or MS-PS2-2 is dealing with motion, forces and acceleration and this ready to go, digital or printable unit will ensure that they know it very well by the time they complete it! The unit is divided into several components which include three distant-time graphs that the students must interpret, plus three speed-time graphs. Each of the graphs have at least eight different changes of motion for the students to record in a corresponding chart. I have included answer keys for everything in this unit plus detailed teacher notes, keywords and basic reference guides for the slopes of the different types of graphs. At the end of the unit the students are given 3 different “stories” for which they must draw their own slopes on blank graphs. Two of these stories are distance-time graphs and one is a speed-time graph. Please see my blog post on how I teach this unit. Make Speed and Acceleration Labs Fun
