SCP-001 — specifically S.D. Locke's "When Day Breaks" proposal — is an Apollyon-class event-only SCP, introduced in the Daybreak Update. SCP-001 itself is the Sun, which - when undergoing a specific anomalous event, turns completely red, transforming all lifeforms its light touches, into hostile flesh monsters.
