Kurayami (暗くら闇やみ: Kurayami), or "Mother" as Chihiro called her, is the monster that looks for players during the hide and seek phase and appears along with Chihiro. She also serves as a hostile monster during the note-taking phase in Jealousy's Book: Chapter II. Kurayami appears as a tall, black and lanky figure with a toothy smile that's spread across her face.
