Hands-on Dragon Quest V - IGN
Descrição
When Square Enix brought over Dragon Quest IV to the DS, I had a blast tearing through the game in what was basically a port-down (with some added elements) of the original PSX remake of the game. It was the same Dragon Quest players had a chance to experience here in America back during its first, original release, but it cleaned up very well, adding in new quest elements, a stronger script, and beautiful 3D work mixed with traditional 2D sprite work. Where it didn't quite work, however, was in the generally plain – albeit retro – interface and design. The presentation just didn't match the remade graphical offerings, so while half the game felt new and refreshing, the other half was not only a port of a game many hardcore RPG fans have played, but also one that didn't innovate (or update) basic things like equipment and item management, or streamline the menu system like the updated Chrono Trigger package did.
